Photo upgrade for listed homes

Last reviewed: September 3, 2026

This page is for owners and administrators of Colorado Assisted Living Residences already listed on this directory. It is not a family guide and not a ranking of homes.

Jason and Laura Cheney also operate High Desert Assisted Living in Clifton. This directory is a separate business, not a state list, and not a recommendation of that home or any other. Paying for a photo upgrade does not buy a recommendation, a higher rank, or a placement. High Desert listings use the same template and the same upgrade terms as every other home.

The public site is westernslopeassistedliving.com.

The short version

The free factual listing stays. Every listed ALR already gets a thin public page: legal name as licensed, address, Facility ID, status, official type, payor source if it was on the official list, and a link so families can check the license themselves.

The paid option is photos you supply, plus a short description we approve. It is still not a star rating, not a “featured home,” and not a placement service. Families are still told to check CDPHE Find and Compare and to ask you for a written fee sheet.

Rate: set by Jason Cheney — ask before quoting. This page does not invent a dollar amount.

What every listed home already has (no charge)

The free page is built from the official CDPHE Find and Compare export. It is educational, not a brochure.

We do not invent inspection results, private-pay prices, or Medicaid/ACF status. We do not rank homes.

That free listing does not go away if you decline the upgrade. It does not go away if a neighbor pays for photos and you do not.

What the photo upgrade is

A paid add-on on your listing page:

  1. Owner-supplied photos of this licensed home — the building families will actually tour.
  2. A short description you draft and we approve before it goes up.

That is the product. It is how this directory, as a for-profit business, can take extra work and extra space on a listing without turning the site into a pay-to-rank board.

It is not:

If High Desert uses the upgrade, it still carries the extra ownership disclosure already on those pages. Paying does not make this directory recommend High Desert, and it does not make this directory recommend you over High Desert.

Photos (dignity first)

Send pictures of this licensed address. You must have the right to use them on a public website.

We will favor:

We will decline or ask you to replace:

We may crop, compress, or caption for the page. We may refuse a set and still keep the free factual listing.

Suggested technical notes (not a hard spec until Jason confirms): well-lit, level, recent; horizontal frames work better on the listing page. Do not send original IDs, care plans, or other resident records.

The short description (we approve it)

A few plain sentences about this home. Factual. Dignity-first. Written for adult children, not as an ad.

It may mention, if true and not already invented: house vs larger building as a description of this place, whether you cook on site, whether you operate a secure environment (families should still ask you for the Chapter 7 Part 25 disclosure), languages staff speak, that you welcome tours.

It may not:

We will edit for length, tone, and accuracy, or send it back. Nothing goes live until we approve it. The free CDPHE facts stay on the page above any paid description.

Rate

Rate: set by Jason Cheney — ask before quoting.

This page does not invent a price, a photo count, or a contract length. Ask for a written quote before you send photos.

The free listing is not a trial that later becomes a bill. If you never buy the upgrade, the factual page stays.

Do not send resident records. Do not treat a message as a purchase until you have a written quote with the rate Jason set.

What families will still see

Every listing, paid or not, still tells families:

A photo upgrade does not change those lines.
